The 10 best handprint crafts for kids: Friday fun day

I am a huge sucker for handprint crafts for kids, but even I think some of the ideas circulating on Pinterest are, well, a bit of a stretch. Hey, it’s a handprint, but it’s also a walrus! Or a leprechaun! Or a tank!

So when I went looking for arts and crafts ideas to memorialize my kids’ hands, it took a lot of scrolling to find ones I actually want to do. I have saved you some of the searching and picked out 10 handprint crafts for kids that are adorable.

You’ll want to keep ’em forever, if only to remind yourself that yes, once your kid’s hand was that tiny.

2. Glitter handprints by yours truly. Glitter may be the most hated art supply, but these sparkling handprints sure do turn out pretty. Plus, you get to paint your hand with glue.

6. Family handprints originally by Lisa Dickinson. I like this craft partly because it doesn’t involve paint (which is a very tricky medium for my messy Kiwi). I’d have so much fun choosing coordinating colors and patterns for the paper, too! #nerdalert

8. Handprint change jar by moi. I actually need to make a new one of these, since ours shattered in the infamous Valentine’s Day 2016 Incident. I love that it’s a way my kids could see our savings accumulate over time.

What a great list of ways to make handprint keepsakes new every year! I immediately shared the link and am bookmarking it to share later too! I really like the family one that could be done annually and is less messy or the practical functionality of the garden gloves!

I think I’d have to go for the paper craft too, since my preschooler doesn’t like to have paint or glue on his hands. Luckily, it’s super cute, too!

This hand print craft list is awesome. Like seriously. I’ve been looking all around, including pinterest, and came across this article. I actually am going to pin this lol.

I’m home with a 3 year old and 16 month old so I will definitely be doing some of these just because I love the keepsake aspect of hand print crafts. Thanks! 🙂

I also spent a good amount of time looking around your site. You have a lot of great stuff here. Bookmarking lol
